Music Industry

Identification and exploitation of business opportunities in the business context of the arts. Preparation of a business plan with its main areas: marketing, operations, HR, organization and economic-financial within the current context of the music industry.

Composition and analysis IV - audiovisual media

Deepening of the knowledge taught in Composition, harmony and counterpoint III. Composition techniques and compositional procedures throughout history and current techniques and currents. Musical personality and personal compositional language.

Creation and latest vanguards

Creation laboratory based on carrying out artistic projects where the music area collaborates with other disciplines, with special emphasis on performing arts, to generate a joint artistic proposal. I work with the different expressive tools provided by all the arts. Creative process where teamwork and multidisciplinary, creative aspects, direction, production and management of an artistic proposal are explored.

Arrangements II. big band

Use of models and problem solving in composition tasks and adaptation of pieces in any style. Arrangement techniques: change of template or instrumentation, refinement of a given piece or melody according to stylistic patterns, stylistic harmonization, stylistic change of a given material, stylistic mixture, musical quotation, adaptation of a vocal writing to an instrumental one (or vice versa), adaptation from monodic writing to polyphonic and heterophonic writing with and without percussion, musical quotes from other cultures.

Orchestra and choir direction II

Practical aspects of directing: analysis and study of the score, choice of repertoire, optimization of rehearsals and interaction with the scene. Management of the rehearsal and assembly process of an orchestral work.

External Internships

Learning in companies, entities or organizations, private or public, with advice for the own search and/or according to the proposed offer, the presentation of applications, the realization of the practice and the writing of the evaluative report.

Obtaining academic credits, based on the participation of undergraduate students in artistic, cultural, and student representation university activities, in order to complete their curricular development with activities not strictly linked to the degree.

Undergraduate Thesis Project

Original, autonomous and personal work carried out under the guidance of a teacher, in which the knowledge and skills acquired during the degree are applied. The work will be developed, defended and qualified individually, and may be elaborated in collaboration with other students when the chosen topic so advises.
