The program that guarantees you a direct job placement in the audiovisual sector

A practical and intensive qualification with which you will optimize the training time to the maximum and you will get your first access to the film and series industry.

Live the reality of the audiovisual market with the support of active professionals and great creators of the sector and access the circuit of national and international film festivals.

In this two-year diploma, you will work on staging from technical and artistic aspects: the direction of actors/actresses, the construction of characters, the script, the production, the treatment of light, the framing, and the camera. At the end of the program, you will access your first employment contract in the sector, paid and guaranteed, linked to the actual professional production of a series or film.

Study Plan

Course 1

Módulo I: Construcción del relato

Individual writing of a 2,5-minute fiction script.

Módulo II: Exterior sin sonido directo

First film practice: filming outdoors and without direct sound based on a script written in Module I. Duration of the short: 2,5 minutes.

Módulo III. Escritura cinematográfica

Individual writing of a 3-minute fiction script.

Módulo IV. Relato en 3'

Second film practice: filming a 3-minute short film based on a script written in Module III.

Course 2

Módulo V: Dossier de venta de serie (itinerarios Guion, Dirección y Producción)

Creation and writing of the sales dossier and the script of the pilot episode of an individual fiction series project. Pilot episode duration: 6 minutes.

Módulo V: Guion y rodaje de no ficción (itinerarios Fotografía, Sonido y Postproducción)

Individual script writing and filming of a 3,5 minute non-fiction project (documentary, video art, etc.).

Módulo VI: Piloto de serie

Third film practice: joint filming of the pilot episode of the individual series (6 minutes long). In this film practice, each student performs a professional role related to the itinerary she has chosen.

Producción profesional: Rodaje de webserie

Production of a web series (filming of a 3 and a half minute episode by director) in collaboration with the students of the Diploma in Audiovisual and Stage Interpretation. Distribution and exhibition of the filmed web series.

Student profile

People interested in cinematographic practice who wish to obtain general skills in the different professions of the sector.

Students with previous knowledge in the audiovisual field from Audiovisual Communication Degrees, Higher Audiovisual Degrees or who have worked in camera operation or television production.

People who want to increase their skills and take, in the future, a master or postgraduate degree, such as those offered at TAI School of the Arts.

Requirements

For access to the first course, no prior specific skills or requirements are required. A personal interview (in person or online) is carried out.

Possibility of access to the second course directly if the applicant accredits the competencies listed below:

  • Know the currents, genres, authors / s and reference titles in the history of cinema.
  • Identify and manage basic material means of lighting, camera and sound.
  • Design basic lighting schemes (schemes of 3 light points, interior/exterior lighting combination, etc.).
  • Know the basic writing technique of log lines, synopsis and treatments of literary scripts.
  • Know the basic concepts of production grammar (types of shots, camera movements, etc.).
  • Develop technical scripts and design elementary camera plans.
  • Create and export projects in some professional audiovisual editing software.
  • Know the main phases of an audiovisual production.
  • Identify the main roles and functions of a film crew.
