Career path

Professor at the “Alicia Alonso” Higher Dance Institute with an extensive professional and academic career.

She has been general secretary of the International Dance Committee of the International Theater Institute, World Organization of the Performing Arts/UNESCO and Secretary of the Spanish Delegation of the aforementioned international organization, being in charge of coordinating the twelve national committees. Likewise, she has worked as a visiting guest professor at Shanghai Theater Academy, China (2017-2019).

She has solid professional experience acquired in her performance as a classical dancer as a member of the San Juan Ballet Company of Puerto Rico and collaborations with contemporary dance choreographers in Puerto Rico Petra Bravo and Gloria Llompart, to which she adds her learning at the level pedagogical through the Cuban school and the National Ballet of Cuba.

These professional experiences were enriched by stays at the Prodanza Center directed by Laura Alonso, her stay at the Royal Ballet in London and her subsequent studies on the GAGA movement language (Antwerp, Barcelona and Turin), and the methodology of Horton and Graham technique under the tutelage of Milton Myers and Terese Capucilli respectively (Jacob's Pillow School, Massachusetts, USA)
