TAI opens its doors to the new generation of students interested in arts and creativity.

 

Experience our spaces, visit our art installations and spend a day with the community TAI in our Open Days. You will have the opportunity to delve into the academic offer and speak with guidance counselors, teaching staff and students who will help you learn first-hand about the experience of studying at TAI.

 

During this visit, the academic guidance team and the degree directors will answer all your questions about our different studies. In addition, you will be able to carry out your admission interview, the previous step that all applicants must pass, regardless of the degree they wish to take. TAI RIDE are informative sessions organized in provinces throughout Spain to help all young people interested in art to visualize their professional future by publicizing our Bachelor's Degrees Programs, Master's Degrees and TAI-certified Diplomas and Masters.

1. What is the difference between a diploma and a degree?

With a diploma you obtain a professional qualification, while with a degree you acquire comprehensive training.

The diploma is an intensive program that trains you in just two courses to develop as a self-employed professional undertaking your own projects and/or carrying out technical and/or assistantship work in all the departments of the different phases of an audiovisual, scenic or artistic product. . In addition, once the two years of training are finished, you can access a master and get your specialization.

The Official University Degree is a 4-year in-depth training at a technical, creative and intellectual level that allows you to become a professional in artistic studies and obtain an official university degree. The degree, officially recognized throughout the European Union, gives access to international mobility programs and enables you to extend your postgraduate studies to any EU country.

2. What is the difference between a 4+1 and a 2+1?

With the 4+1 training cycle (grade + master) you obtain an official university degree in 4 years that you can complete with 1 year of additional or complementary specialization. With the degree you achieve comprehensive training that allows you to direct your professional future towards a specific sector. This first specialization is complemented by the master, oriented to an expert level and with an even more practical vision.

With the 2+1 training cycle (diploma + master) you obtain a professional qualification in just 2 years with the necessary skills to study, in a third year, a master highly specialized professional The study load of these studies is less, since they have a clear practical and professional orientation.

3. Can the classrooms be reserved?

The classrooms are available to students as long as there is no prior reservation or class.

4. What are the hours for each degree?

The hours depend on each degree and the order of entry of your enrollment. You can ask your admission coordinator for more information.

5. Is analog photography taken in the Photography Degree?

Yes, the school has a fully equipped analog photography studio and a digital fab lab.

6. What is pre-registration?

Pre-registration is one of the most important procedures, since it is when you decide what you want to study and where you want to do it. For each autonomous community in which you are considering studying, you must submit a single application for admission or pre-registration in which you indicate in order of preference the degrees you wish to study and the public or private universities in which you wish to do so. For example, if you are clear that you are not going to leave your community, but you are hesitating between two universities, you only have to submit an application where you reflect your preference based on what you put first.

7. Is there the possibility of making an exchange?

International vision is a key component in our educational model. TAI is in contact with educational institutions from various countries, offering mobility programs, agreements and projects with universities and artistic centers around the world, as well as academic experiences, meetings, workshops and masterclasses with international artists.

We promote not only the mobility of our students, but also exchange with foreign students. Collaboration agreements with international universities and art schools are aimed at both students who want to complete their studies outside of Spain and those who want to come to TAI in an Erasmus+ or Munde exchange program. Our goal is to promote and facilitate cooperation between artists and universities around the world.

We maintain student exchange agreements with fifty universities specialized in teaching artistic disciplines. These agreements are linked to the Erasmus+ and Munde mobility programs, offering a wide variety of destinations. Our main motivation is to provide students with direct and permanent contact with the national and international art industry.

8. What are the practices with companies?

The internships link the training field with the professional context, endorsing the relationship between students and the industry.

The internships are compulsory in the Official Degrees, although they are also offered in the studies of TAI. Students can request them to guarantee their professional practice. In addition to the more than 700 existing agreements between TAI and external companies in the industry, the possibility of doing internships with professional teachers from the sector is offered.

9. Is prior knowledge required to access the Degree in Musical Composition?

In the test to access the Degree in Musical Composition, it is only necessary to be able to recognize the different pitches of a simple melody and to know how to read and write in the key of G or F, although the tests are not exclusive. Different levels of music language are supported and you don't need to master an instrument. The fundamental thing: to feel a passion for music and to have minimal aptitudes for compositional creativity.

10. How are the entrance tests?

The entrance test consists of conducting an admission interview with an academic counselor specialized in the discipline in which you wish to enter. In this admission interview, each applicant will be directed towards the degree that best suits her profile and her knowledge, interest and previous work in the subject will be verified. In addition, the work provided by the candidate will be examined for its evaluation, depending on the specific requirements of the degree. 11. ¿TAI Do you have a job bank?

TAI It has its own network of contacts in the sectors of each artistic area, institutional agreements and more than 700 internship agreements with companies. In addition, the teachers are prestigious professionals who bring offers from the industry to the classroom.

Abre Tu Mente Producciones is a professional platform linked to TAI which develops and promotes quality projects with former students in direct collaboration with the best professionals in the sector, many of them teachers from the center itself.

The data supports us: 85% of graduates are working, of which 60% do so in positions related to their studies.

12. Is it possible to access with a foreign baccalaureate?

In order to access an Official University Degree with a foreign baccalaureate, the corresponding homologation process must be carried out.

13. When are masterclasses?

Our masterclasses take place throughout the course, from September to June.
The dates, times and programs are announced through our social networks, where there are registration forms to reserve your place.

14. Do you need your own equipment?

The different cameras, instruments, workshops, sets, classrooms and the rest of the spaces and computers with advanced software are available to students (always with prior reservation) to be used in the different projects that will be carried out during the course.
