Career path

Guillermo Logar is a filmmaker, stage director, researcher, and film professor at the University School of Arts TAIECAM and Colegio Madrid. He has developed his career in London, New York, Madrid and Mexico City.

Co-founder of the R. Mutt Society, through which he promotes the development of innovative stage and audiovisual projects. As a theater director, between 2015 and 2023 he premiered three productions: The Bald Soprano by Ionesco; the original play Madrid, Chernobyl; and Tape by Stephen Belber.

From 2018 to 2024 he collaborated with some of the most important production companies in Spain, such as Salon Indien Films, FeelGood Media, Alégrame el día Films, Prisa Media, The Pool and Secuoya Studios.

He is the creator of the podcast The Spain of Yesterday, who publishes in InfoLibre, screenwriter of the documentary series Moncloa: Four Seasons, and director of the documentaries Guernica: the last exile, a candidate for the 2025 Goya Awards and Dore Cinema.

His research focuses on contemporary documentary and the use of film as a tool for political awareness, with a special interest in the treatment of historical memory in Spanish audiovisual media.
