Career path
Award-winning and highly regarded theater director, playwright, academic and professor.
Creator of his own theater group, Argos Teatro, whose goal has been to breathe new life into the canon of modern European theater, with performances by Brecht, Beckett, Ibsen, and Strindberg.
The high point of the company's existence to date has been production Ten millones, a piece written and directed by Celdrán, gaining critical recognition both in Cuba and internationally.
He has worked as a professor at high-level institutions in South America and Europe. A professor at the Higher Institute of Arts of Cuba for over 20 years, he has also been the director of the Master's program in Stage Direction since 2016. He also continues directing and creating plays at Argos Teatro.
