Career path
Award-winning and highly regarded theater director, playwright, academic and professor.
Creator of his own theater group, now world-famous, Argos Teatro, whose main objective has been to give a new vital breath to the canon of modern European theater, with performances of Brecht, Beckett, Ibsen and Strindberg.
The high point of the company's existence to date has been production Ten millones, a piece written and directed by Celdrán, gaining critical recognition both in Cuba and internationally.
He has worked as a professor at high-level institutions in Cuba, South America and Europe. A teacher at the Higher Institute of Arts of Cuba for more than 20 years, he has also been the director of the Master's course in Stage Direction since 2016. At the same time, he continues with dramaturgical direction and creation at Argos Teatro.
