Career path
Director, screenwriter and producer. In 2008 he created Olivo Films, an independent film production company dedicated to the development and production of documentaries and fiction feature films.
He has directed and produced the feature films a place in the cinema, documentary with Víctor Erice, Theo Angelopoulos and Ninetto Davoli; Waves, a film with which he has won three awards at the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival; The boys from the port, premiered at the Moscow Film Festival, exhibited in Canada at the TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and in spaces such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía or the Roman Theater in Mérida.
The Mother (2016) was released at the Montreal International Film Festival and SEMINCI, after its selection at La Cinéfondation de L'Atelier – Cannes Festival.
