Career path
Visual artist and filmmaker.
sunny boy, his first documentary, has been screened at numerous festivals in America, Europe and Asia, having been awarded Best Documentary at the Scream Queer Rome LGBT Festival, as well as Best Director at the LGBT Toronto Film Festival.
He recently directed and co-wrote the documentary What We Did In The Shadows, In addition to participating in the filming of documentaries Born Naked y When We Are Together We Can Be Everywhere
His photographic work has been exhibited internationally in several exhibitions in Spain, London and Berlin, and has been published in the magazines VICE, Restless Culture, El País, Dust, Art Hole y Uncertain States.
Her works are inspired by feminist and queer theory, addressing issues related to gender identity, racialization, culture, body politics and sexuality. Her aim is to challenge (hetero)normative conceptions of gender and sexuality by exploring and subverting concepts of masculinity and femininity.
