Career path
My professional career is divided between Cultural Management, curating XR experiences and activities, and Psychology.
My foray into the technology sector began in 2010 as the person responsible for the day-to-day activities as well as the events and activities of the UAM-Telefónica Chair at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Years later, in 2016, one of the most important and defining professional projects in my career as a cultural manager and curator came into my life: the Extended Reality Space at the Telefónica Foundation (Madrid). It was considered a benchmark in Spain for its free access, for offering diverse and regularly changing experiences, and for being aimed at both professional and general audiences. More than 60.000 people enjoyed hundreds of Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality experiences with the most cutting-edge devices of the time. I was in charge of project management, leading the team, curating and securing the XR experiences on display, seeking and signing partnerships with other companies and organizations in the sector, and offering free, personalized consulting sessions to visiting companies.
While managing this project in 2019, I was part of the expert group for the traveling digital art exhibition, INTANGIBLES.
The pandemic caused the closure of the XR Space, however, a month later I was offered the opportunity to develop the subject Psychology for Extended Reality for an XR Master's program at a national online university.
In 2021, another of the most important projects of my career emerged: Canal Connect, an Art, Science, and Technology event organized by the Teatros del Canal, under the direction of Blanca Li—a unique event promoted and held by a performing arts institution. Throughout its four editions, various institutions collaborated, from the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation to the ACTS Network, among others, and my role was to curate and organize all the activities, including roundtables and workshops, as well as other networking and public relations functions.
In parallel, and for two consecutive years – in 2022 and 2023 – I was hired by ICEX as a Consultant for Spain's participation in Rotterdam's Immersive Tech Week – formerly known as VR Days. My main role was to curate the roundtables and XR experiences to be showcased at the Spanish booth, as well as to moderate one of the roundtables on women in the XR gaming industry.
In 2024, with the birth of the State Network of Art, Science, Technology and Society -Red ACTS-, I was one of the organizing members of the Madrid node.
Alongside all these activities, I have collaborated with print and digital media outlets for opinion and criticism of dance performances, and I have had my own dance section on the radio.
