Laura Gantes

Sound designer and editor with experience in a variety of formats. She combines post-production with live sound in both fiction and documentary projects.

In 2022 he graduated in Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts and continued his training at UC3M due to his interest in researching the narrative and creative possibilities of sound. During his academic stage he worked as a sound assistant at La Pecera Estudio, building the environments in 1000 kilometers from Christmas (Netflix).

She soon began to explore her own style as a sound designer on non-fiction feature films such as Laura's debut feature film García Perez, I am my mother's daughter (incubated in MajorDocs), The scam of love Virginia García del Pino (Seminci, Seville Film Festival, etc.), The remains of passing, by Luis S. Muñoz and Alfredo Picazo, winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the Gijón International Film Festival, also presented at Cannes Docs.

Also noteworthy is the short film smells (dir. Alba Esquinas), candidate for best documentary short film at the 2024 Goya Awards, winner of the Grand Prize for Spanish Cinema at 64 ZINEBI and a mention for best sound design at the Madrid Film Festival.

She currently works as a sound editor at Mubox Studio, specializing in dialogue editing and design.
