-Postgraduate courses completed in Como (Italy), Buenos Aires and Tucumán (Argentina) and Madrid on Art Theory, Minimalism, Conceptual Art, Painting and Drawing (1992/96).
Career path
Ulía Loureiro Ishi-Kawa is a production designer and art director with a solid track record in film, television, and prime-time formats. She has developed the design and art direction for landmark programs and series such as MasterChef (all editions up to 2023), Maestros de la Costura, La que se avecina, and Amar en tiempos revueltos, as well as feature films, including Besos para todos, directed by Jaime Chávarri, for which she was nominated for the Goya Award for Best Art Direction. Her work combines an auteur's vision with a deep understanding of audiovisual language, which she has also brought to the academic sphere through her teaching of Art Direction at institutions such as ECAM and Atresmedia.

Production design and audiovisual space design; set design for film and television; narrative construction of space and its relationship to story, character, and mise-en-scène. Research into architecture as a generator of atmosphere, identity, and narrative meaning, and its dialogue with contemporary art and audiovisual language. Development of a personal body of work in painting and photography as a field of exploration of visual thinking, composition, light, and color, applied to both artistic creation and audiovisual practice. Interest in creative processes in large-scale television formats and in the pedagogical transmission of the aesthetic and conceptual criteria of the art department.
