Career path
José Gasset is a director, screenwriter, actor, and producer. After writing and directing several short films, he founded the production company San Pelícano in 2021. That same year, he wrote and directed "Se busca productor" (Producer Wanted), a satirical web series that also served as a fundraising campaign for his first feature film, "La función" (The Performance).
He combines his work as a creative and director for advertising agencies and brands with a style based on irony and postmodern satire. He co-wrote and directed the series “Putos Modernos” for the creative agency of the same name, which premiered in 2023 on Filmin. “La función” is his first feature film, released in 2024 in theaters and on streaming platforms.
Currently, he combines his work as a director with the development of several film and television projects, both his own and as a co-writer in other people's projects.
