1994, Madrid. He begins his studies in music composition at the university TAI She combined these studies with professional classical guitar conservatory training and vocal studies. During this period, she collaborated as the lead singer of the Big Band. Arturo Soria has performed in iconic venues such as the Casino de Madrid and the Madrid Jazz Festival. She also performs her own songs as a singer-songwriter in various locations throughout Madrid. Given her passion for composition and jazz, she received a Fulbright scholarship in 2019, which allowed her to pursue a Master's degree in Jazz Composition at Queens College in New York City, where she was mentored by trumpeter, arranger, and composer Michael Mossman. After graduating, she was accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Valencia to complete a Master's degree in Film Music, thus combining her two passions and the reasons she initially dedicated herself to music: film music composition and jazz.

Career path

Among her experience as a composer, the soundtrack for the feature film stands out. From Lost to Rio, a Spanish comedy directed by Joaquín Mazón.

He has also composed music for short films Sacramento (dir. Ismael Sepúlveda), Slingshot (animated short film directed by Kush Boradia) and About Us (dir. Judit Costa). As an orchestrator, she has participated in the feature films Parenostre (2025) by director Manuel Huerga and Coartadas (2025) by the director Martín Cuervo. As an arranger, he has worked for the Madrid Community Symphonic Band, arranging songs by the indie group León Benavente, as well as for the singer Viki Lafuente in a concert with the Sabiñánigo Symphonic Band.

In addition, she created two arrangements for the Queens College Big Band (New York), featuring saxophonists Chris Cheek and Tim Armacost. She has worked as a vocal coach on the Disney+ series Ayla and the Mirrors, released in September 2024.

Research lines

My research focuses on composition for audiovisual media, musical narrative, the relationship between music and image, and orchestration applied to audiovisual media. My professional interests include composing for film and television series, working with orchestras, and optimizing the workflow between composition, orchestration, and recording.
