Career path

Music industry professional with a career spanning more than two decades in marketing, artistic development, record label management and launch strategies, both in the independent field and in majors with a strong international focus and in Latin markets.

He began his career in the late 90s as a musician, author and composer, combining this activity with cultural entrepreneurship: he founded a record store in Madrid and an independent record label and organized tours in various European countries.

At the same time, he collaborates as a writer and music analyst in specialized media outlets such as Mondo Sonoro, Rocksound o Bad Magazineconsolidating an early profile of cultural prescription and musical communication.

Later, he joined the booking agency Cap-Cap as PR Manager, leading the communication for over 100 national and international tours of artists such as Green Day, A Perfect Circle, Bad Religion, among others.

In the mid-2000s, he joined PIAS Spain as Senior Label Manager, actively participating in the growth of the independent ecosystem during that decade. From this position, he led the development and launch of artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Editors, Maxïmo Parkand manages a wide catalog of international labels, including Domino Records, Epitaph, Warp, Sanctuary or F-Comm.

In 2006 he began his time at Sony Music, where he held various positions of responsibility:

  • Senior Label Manager at Columbia Records, working with artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Céline Dion, El Canto del Loco or Sidonie.
  • Later at Epic Records, directing career strategies and releases for global artists such as Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Foo Fighters, and key projects of national pop and rock.
  • At the beginning of the 2010s, he joined Ariola (Sony Music), leading the development of careers such as Dani Martín, Leiva, Carlos Rivera or Malú.

Later he assumed the role of Brand Manager, initially for the local roster (including projects such as Vetusta Morla o Leiva) and, from 2015, as International Latin Brand Manager, responsible for the positioning and growth in Spain of artists such as Maluma, Rauw Alejandro, Camilo, Residente, Kany GarcíaNicky Jam, Nicki Nicole, among others.

In 2023 he joined Iglesias Entertainment, an international booking agency, as Marketing Director, where he manages tour campaigns for artists such as Eros Ramazzotti, Luis Miguel, Camilo or Residente.

He is currently the Artist Development & Marketing Director of the Miami-based label Serving Sounds, focused on the signing and strategic development of new Latin and local talent, combining creative vision, market analysis and the building of sustainable artistic brands.

He combines his professional activity and as a musician with teaching in various master's programs in the music industry, providing a practical and up-to-date vision based on direct experience with artists, labels and international and local markets, and with a clear vision of the current business model.
