Learn about the functions of one of the profiles most in demand by audiovisual platforms

Post-production coordination is a position of extreme responsibility and very transversal.

In this intensive course you will learn everything you need to work as a post-production coordinator and be able to deal with the day-to-day work of any project, whether fiction, documentary, a series or a feature film.

Study Plan

I. CALENDAR

Creation of the calendar following the organic development of a real project.
In-depth work on the different variables that may occur and the possible options to save time, work on processes in parallel and/or duplicate teams.
Deliverys (4k, HDR, SDR, delivery formats, with color/without color).
Communication with the different departments: editing, sound, color, VFX, music, etc.

II. SCRIPT

The script from the point of view of the supervisor - coordinator.
Management and coordination of departments, work agreements and alternatives, assessment of needs and times.

III. BUDGET NEGOTIATION

Assessment of the budget allocation for post-production according to the requirements of the project.
Negotiation rounds.
Price range per day, week and project.
Adjustments
Limitations and ambitions.

IV. PRODUCTION: FILMING AND ASSEMBLY

Study of a real workflow.
Conflict resolution, coordination and team communication methods.
Rounds of changes for the approval of the masters.

V. SOFTWARE AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Skills and technical knowledge necessary to be able to fully understand the implications of post-production coordination work, as well as the rest of the departments.
Difficulties and needs to be able to assess times and options.
Main softwares: AVID; DaVinci Resolve (dailies, QC, subtitling, deliveries, color).
Export of materials to the different departments.

How to learn to survive in continuous conflict, trying at all times to prevent this from becoming a problem.

Production manager (responsible for the film area) at User T38. Throughout his professional career, he has carried out various projects that have allowed him to compete in many festivals around the world. He has directed such renowned actors as Javier Gutiérrez (La isla mínima, Truman), Melani Olivares (Aida) or Santiago Molero (Águila roja).

Eloy Gazol
VFX coordinator, online supervisor, VFX artist and motion graphics. He currently works as Technical Director and VFX Artist at User T38.

Toni Gonzalez
Post-production coordinator and VFX supervisor in the third season of The Head (HBOMax).

Yolanda Hurtado
Sales & customer management at Deluxe Spain. He has worked on productions such as 30 monedas, La Veneno, La templanza, El olvido que seremos, Las chicas del cable and many others.

Nicolas Palacio
Post-production coordinator with more than 10 years of experience in both fiction and entertainment programs. He is currently a director at GH VIP 8.
