En TAI We believe that every person in our community should be able to pursue the arts freely and without fear of any type of discrimination, harassment or exclusion.
For this reason, we believe that school, as a free and creative space, should be a place where respect and inclusion are fundamental pillars, allowing the entire community to focus on what really matters to us: learning, creating and growing as artists.
What is it?
The Safe Space of the University School of Arts TAI aims to offer its entire community an inclusive, respectful and prejudice-free environment. In it, students, teaching staff, staff and various invited personalities can express themselves, learn, create and live together in total freedom and with respect, without fear of being discriminated against or excluded for their ideas, identities or forms of artistic expression.
For its development, we have worked with the advice of specialists in the prevention of harassment at a legal level and we have the support of FUNACO, which offers us training and professional guidance.
Proactive space
It promotes awareness and education around key issues such as diversity, equity and mutual respect in the arts. We design preventive actions that teach how to avoid conflicts and offer tools to deal with them if they occur.
- Protocol for Prevention and Action against Harassment. With mandatory training for staff and teaching in good teaching practices and in our code of coexistence
- Ethical Communication and Reporting Channel
Resolution space
That responds immediately and effectively to any situation that threatens the well-being of the community, offering concrete solutions, emotional support and remedial measures.
Continuous impact space
Being part of this safe space involves learning that is useful both now and in the future, as we offer training and tools that help our community in the academic and professional environment.
Space in constant evolution
It is not a rigid structure, but rather one that adapts to the needs that we detect in our community and that evolve and change as society does. Therefore, it requires constant review in order to truly fulfil its purpose.
It is immaterial, intangible. It is a convention of the entire community.
