From the hand of the artist Pawave, personal brand of the Cinematography alumni of TAI, Paola Travieso, the icon of the Maxango, a unique graphic creation inspired by oral tradition and Canarian cosmogony.

Through the magnetism of this little character, Pawave has made its way into graphic productions, music videos or cinematographic creations such as the short film “Zapatillas”, by the director and teacher of TAI Dani Peña, present in various national and international festivals of reference.

The expression canaria" machango" gives its name to the maxango, something that begins as an illustration character. The original maxango was characterized by being a child's drawing, drawn synthetically, with round shapes and with only three hairs. These stylistic features ended up consolidating a style beyond this character.
