TAI collaborates one more year with PHotoEspaña in the development of a participatory exhibition in interaction with social networks. An opportunity for photographers in training for a Master's degree and the final year of Advanced Photography Studies to exhibit original work created specifically for the Festival. The first phase of the project consisted of a public call for entries with which a
gallery on the styles of digital representation of people. 337 participated in the proposal by uploading their profile photo to the application created on Facebook. Three images, selected by a jury among the most voted, have been reinterpreted by photographers, forming part of
profile(s)The entire gallery will be displayed via QR code. In a second phase, a group of photographers have been inspired by these images and have reflected from Photography to reinterpret the phenomenon of profile photos. Finally, the exhibition at Serrano Anguita 10 shows the result of this entire process of research and artistic creation.
TAI AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCER PHOTOESPAÑA 2012
In this edition, in addition to the profile(s) exhibition, the University School of Arts and Shows TAI PHotoEspaña is an international festival of photography and visual arts that has developed an institutional collaboration with PHOTOESPAÑA, taking charge of the production of audiovisual materials such as the video that will summarise the edition as well as various visual capsules of the events held. PHotoEspaña, an international festival of photography and visual arts, was born in 1998 with the aim of being a festival created by society. Today it has become one of the major visual arts events in the world and one of the largest international photography forums, whose prestige, recognised by the most prominent critics, has enabled it to become an unmissable event. Through its festival, PHotoEspaña offers an extraordinary opportunity to discover photographic projects, videos and installations by the most outstanding national and international photographers and visual artists, as well as the work of new creators. Throughout the fifteen editions of the festival, more than 900 exhibitions have been organised in the main museums, exhibition halls, art centres and galleries. Every year it attracts more than seven hundred thousand people, a figure that makes it one of the largest cultural events held in Spain.
