Daniel Canogar (Madrid)

He lives and works between Spain and the United States. Trained in photography at New York University and the International Center of Photography, he soon turned his practice toward projected image and installation. His work explores the impact of technology on society, investigating the intersection of photography, digital media and installation art through the use of fiber optics, generative algorithms and discarded technological materials.

He has exhibited at institutions such as LACMA, the Museo del Prado, The Phillips Collection, ZKM and the American Museum of Natural History, and has created public installations including Pulsation (2021) for Nike's headquarters in Oregon, Dynamo (2021) for Expo Dubai and Tendril (2017) at Tampa International Airport. His work is held in collections including the Museo Reina Sofía, the Whitney Museum and LACMA.

He combines his artistic practice with teaching at IE University and the Universidad de Navarra. In 2024 he was appointed academician of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.
