With the aim of continuing to develop new international artistic projects, TAI has invited the JMC Academy from Australia to celebrate The Other Side, a creative project that seeks to combine the talent of young students of Cinema/Filmmaking and Performing Arts/Performing Arts of both institutions.
An intensive experience between JMC students and TAI, a The Other Side A group of Australian students has stayed in Madrid for two weeks along with professors and directors of their Cinematography department.
They have done it with the purpose of filming two short films (Until Death Do Us Apart y Dead Man Walking) together with students TAI in our recording studios and other outdoor locations around the city.
These young people have also participated in other complementary activities such as masterclasses and workshops, ending the experience with a screening event of the short films shot.
A unique academic, social and cultural opportunity in which arts students from both institutions work and enjoy together in two intensive weeks.
In addition to filming, The project has been complemented with other academic, cultural and social activities in which JMC students and TAI They have shared experiences such as presentations about cinema in both countries, Almodóvar's Madrid, acting in front of the camera or international co-productions.
Additionally, they have had the opportunity to enjoy other recreational activities such as visit to the RTVE studios, the Reina Sofía Museum and presentation and farewell meals.
TAI continues in his quest for connect the arts with different parts of the world, carrying out international projects around different artistic disciplines and allowing the development of creative projects among students TAI and students from other international universities.
The Other Side es a project designed by the academic leaders of JMC and TAI in collaboration with its institutional and international teams and co-financed by the Erasmus+ program together with the institutions themselves.
