From the Employment and Entrepreneurship Unit, we present the 4th Employment and Entrepreneurship Fair that we will celebrate from April 15 to 19. In TAI We continue to link students with the industry for their professional development in an event where they can explore job opportunities, receive personalized guidance and expand their network of contacts.


About the Employment and Entrepreneurship Fair

The Employment and Entrepreneurship Fair continues the cycle of meetings and workshops with the industry and its professionals that takes place throughout the academic year, focusing on a special event for a week focused on Employability and Entrepreneurship in the Arts.

In its fourth edition, this fair aims to pprovide information of interest to students and bring them closer to the reality of the labor market. The event includes a variety of activities and special meetings designed so that our students learn in depth the professional opportunities in demand, the type of artistic talent sought by companies and inspiring examples of entrepreneurship in the arts.

The agents involved in these activities are companies and professionals who carry out their activity in the industry around the disciplines of Performing Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Film, Music and Postproduction.

1. FORGING YOUR CAREER AS AN INDEPENDENT PRODUCER IN THE FILM INDUSTRY

Employment and entrepreneurship fair


Taught by Pilar Sancho, independent producer who has demonstrated his versatility in the production of short and feature films in projects such as "The Lost Letters" or the documentary by Santiago A. Zannou, "Those who dared."

During the meeting, the artist will tell us about her artistic career and experience in the industry, sharing practical advice for students who want to be independent producers and find their opportunity in the current market.

2. THE MANAGEMENT OF DIFFERENT ARTISTIC PROFILES: ACTORS AND ACTRESSES, DIRECTORS, SCREENWRITERS AND MUSICIANS

Taught by Helena Maroto and Ana Sánchez, agents at the artist management production company Gosua. Gosua, whose latest project was "The Queen of the Convent", stands out in the sector for its approach focused on human relationships and personalized treatment towards its clients. 

Our speakers will talk to us about the operation and organization of a representation agency (team that comprises it, process of choosing the profiles of artists, clients, target audience...) and the current state of the labor market in this sector, among Other themes.

3. GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION OF COSTUME ILLUSTRATOR: BEYOND DESIGN

Taught by Jonay Bacallado, senior costume illustrator in the film costume design sector. The artist has contributed to important productions such as "Apocalypto", "Avatar", "Rome and "John Carter of Mars" and has collaborated with renowned costume designers, such as Mayes Rubeo. 

At the meeting he will talk to us about the role of a costume illustrator in the conceptualization of characters for cinema, focusing on the development of a look that transmits the essence of the character and in the real circumstances in which this profile works professional.

4. KNOWING THE ROLE OF THE SCREENWRITER FOR AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTIONS AND THE CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE SECTOR

Taught by Gabriel Ochoa, screenwriter and co-creator in audiovisual productions. The artist has worked on important artistic projects such as "Sin Huellas", "Historias del Palmar" or "The Correct Wars", receiving numerous awards during his career.

During the meeting, he will offer us a Detailed insight into the process of creating a series and a movie and he will tell us about his artistic experience, addressing topics such as entry and exit in the labor market or the current challenges of the industry.

5. MAKING OUR WAY IN THE ANIMATION INDUSTRY WITH BLANCA BONET

Taught by Blanca Bonet, alumni and director since 2012 of the animation studio Tiwa Studio. After completing the master's degree in experimental documentary film in TAI, the artist is working on different audiovisual projects, feature films and large-scale short films. 

He will tell us about his career path, challenges and successes along the way, providing us with a current perspective of the labor market and trends in the animation sector.

6. HOW TO MATERIALIZE YOUR OWN PROJECT BY CREATING A BUSINESS PLAN

Taught by Mónica Sacristán, creator of the consultancy Many lights.  This organization helps entrepreneurs get projects started, with business plans, financing and professional services to get ideas and projects off the ground.

7. DAY TO DAY IN A DESIGN STUDIO

Taught by Marivi Jiménez, designer specializing in graphic design and branding; César Rigabert, head of strategy and Co-founder of Waka; José C. del Pozo, head of design and brand and Co-founder of waka. This studio is made up of a team of designers and creatives who have been developing projects related to the digital world and brands for more than 10 years. 

During this meeting, we will get to know Waka in depth, exploring the way they work, the challenges this studio has faced, and the opportunities for young talents that the current market offers.

8. CURRENT SITUATION OF THE LABOR MARKET AND NEW TOOLS IN THE FIELD OF MACHINE LEARNING APPLIED TO VFX COMPOSITION.

Immatch for Guillermo Valero, composition supervisor at Dare Planet Studio. She began her professional career in the visual effects industry more than fifteen years ago, participating in recognized film projects such as “Game of Thrones”, “Juliet” or “A monster call”.

He will tell us about the VFX composition profile, sharing his career and artistic experience in different works. With the artist, we will address topics such as current events in the industry and job opportunities for young talents.

Taught by Roberto Tailor, professional fashion photographer. The artist has worked on different projects and areas of this discipline, creating portraits of artists, advertising and posters for series and films.

During the meeting, he will tell us about the current profile of the professional photographer and the steps to follow to work in the sector. We will discuss other topics such as specialization in photography, the current market situation and the keys to success in the industry.

10. HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR MUSICAL ARTISTIC PROJECTS ON SOCIAL NETWORKS

Taught by Rodrigo Prieto, creator of sound and musical projects on social networks. The multidisciplinary artist has combined his studies in dramatic art with music, working on various sound and musical projects. 

The artist will tell us about how to develop attractive musical projects to find their market niche through their own experience with their musical project “Rodritmos".
