The students of the last year of the Degree in Contemporary Music Composition have put the finishing touch to their formative stage with an exciting concert with the Madrid Metropolitan Orchestra.

On Saturday, April 6, the final exhibition Orchestral Landscapes and New Horizons conquered the auditorium TAI with a set of performances that demonstrated the talent, passion and dedication of the young 4th grade artists.

On this special occasion our students were accompanied by a part of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Madrid under the direction of Silvia Sanz Torre, teacher of TAI and director of Talia Group.  This collaboration with professional musicians was a great opportunity for our artists who were able to rehearse and compose for a prestigious orchestra, expanding perspectives and horizons in their artistic and professional development.

'Everything you had in your head suddenly has another color, it is alive thanks to the director who knew how to translate all our worries and desires to the orchestra', Diego Jacobina, composer student of Among Stars

Together they performed a repertoire of live works, many of them composed for animated short films, mwhile images were projected on the screen synchronously. This audiovisual combination created an immersive experience that transported viewers to other landscapes and narratives, allowing them connect in a more intimate way with the different compositions.

'It's very cool to work with the orchestra and it feels different because when you make the work and compose it, the virtual libraries will never sound so realistic. Suddenly everything changes with the orchestra. It has a different vitality', Víctor Mallo, composer of Coffee Run.
