I have been lucky. I know. I am convinced that the report on the Feroz Awards event that I attended last Tuesday, January 16, should have been written by a journalist in charge of covering it, but I feel that she would not have captured many things: nuances, knowing looks, silences.
I have been lucky to be who I am; a principle of actress project who received the talk offered by the actors and actresses nominated for best protagonist at the next Feroz Awards as a real gift.
What Malena Alterio ("Let no one sleep"), Alberto Ammann (“Upon Entry”), Hovik Keuchkerian ("One Love"), Carolina Yuste ("They know that one"), Maria Vázquez ("Matria"), Manolo Solo ("Close the eyes") and David Verdaguer ("They know that one") shared their experiences and professional experiences in a talk moderated by Pepa Blanes, and they did it the way they did, only speaks of their empathy and knowing perfectly where and who they were in front of.

Perhaps it was he who passed on to his fellow nominees that lack of inhibition that we were so grateful for throughout the afternoon.
On any other occasion, the event would have turned into a conventional conference, but Everything led to what could seem like a talk between actors in front of some friends.
That is! That is what they achieved, that despite the notable differences in experience, work and knowledge, They made us share in their insecurities, uncertainties and fears.
You have to be very humble and generous to open up the way they did in front of strangers. Some strangers whom they accepted as professional colleagues. Oh my goodness, I am Malena Alterio's professional colleague...
To highlight some of the phrases that were mentioned there, I would highlight one expressed by Carolina Yuste: “When I act I feel like the transmitter of an idea, as if it were a communication channel in myself.”
The importance of the test was discussed in the films, of the construction of characters, of teamwork... The conversation moved from the most technical to the most personal, something that immediately hooked the audience. When I refer to the personal I mean to your most intimate vision of the profession: the uncertainties caused by the periods in which you do not have work, the acceptance of roles out of necessity, the sometimes tense relationship with directors, the fear of not to like, even the act of lying to get a role.
An exercise in sincerity and honesty on their part that those of us who were there listening to them appreciated.
Something that made them equally great as actresses and actors, but more admirable, especially for those of us who look at ourselves in the mirror, still unattainable, of our careers. For us, young students who pursue the same dream, it is very important that figures like these are clear and realistic with us. We all know how complicated and sacrificial the career we have chosen is. The sooner we internalize all its drawbacks, the better we will take on the challenges that will arise in the future.
If almost everyone agreed on something, it is their vision of success, far from the vision that most people have, who relate it to fame or money. For them, being an actor or actress goes beyond pure recognition or awards.
Success in itself is the ability to work on something that you are passionate about and that also becomes your way of life.
That our profession, our job, has more to do with personal commitment than with red carpets, which belong more to the packaging that the F uses to sell, something necessary, but not fundamental for them.
In short, everything flowed naturally, friends speaking in front of others: uWe are actors who talk about themselves in front of others who one day will be, we will be, we will try.
If we are lucky, we will return to the TAI to chat with our fellow actors, also nominated, in front of some students who will look at us with enthusiasm, admiration and, above all, gratitude.
