The Employability and Industry Days for Performing Arts and Music are back «Take Action: How to Promote your Artistic Career»

The Faculty of Performing Arts y Music of the University School of Arts TAI restarts the organization of conferences aimed at the employability in music and performing arts and direct connection to industry under the motto 'Take Action: How to Promote your Artistic Career'. In this edition it will be possible to present again projects scenic I musical. The call is open to both school active, alumni y teachers of any of the programs linked to the Faculty of Performing Arts and Music of TAI. Proposals must include a presentation of the artistsas well as his CV, motivation and Project description. Send your proposals to coordinationfac.aemd@taiarts.com In the case of projects already represented previously, the graphic and/or audiovisual material that is attached will be valued. The maximum duration foreseen for each of the projects presented will be 15 minutes. You have Until 28 October. DO NOT LET THIS OPPORTUNITY PASS!

COMPETITION PHASES: Selection, rehearsals and performance

The selection will take place as follows:

  • An FIRST PHASE, in which, from all proposals submitted, will be chosen 10 scenic projects and 10 musical projects that will go to the second phase.
  • An SECOND STAGE, in which the 20 shortlisted proposals will be viewed in person, of which 4 stage and 4 musicals will be chosen. This final selection will take place in the week of 13 of November.

The selected projects will form part of a full show which will include both stage and musical shows. The panel that will decide the 8 winning proposals will be made up of the team from the Faculty of Performing Arts and Music. During the week of November 24 to December 11 the rehearsals will take place, which will be finally presented on December 12 in the facilities of TAI, during the Days of micro-workshops and meetings with the industry. We remind you that all students are invited to meetings with professionals but, for the sample part, only those students who are in the second cycle of degree [3rd and 4th years], diploma [2nd year] may attend the call. either master.  

Success of the last edition: EVAS and Plastic Looks

These new days "Move to Action" will try to emulate the success of the first edition, which was attended by professionals such as Lucas Vidal, Paco Loco, Lia ChapmanMaria Rodes. These and other industry representatives gave talks, masterclasses and some had the opportunity to see the featured projects. Students were able to present their creations to professionals in the sector, bringing the industry reality to the classroom. Some of the works selected and programmed in 'Take Action' they made the leap to professional exhibition circuits. EVAS, an alumni work of the Master in Musical Theater was taken to Cow House. looks of Plastic by Javier de Luis and Amaia Azkue, students of the Degree in Performing Arts-Interpretation, was represented in the room OFF Latin, coming to win the Special Jury Prize at the Young Theater Awards.
