About Taken for granted almost invisible, certainly indescribable

Iñigo Lasheras' photographic project documents the transformation of Navalcarnero, a town south of Madrid, which has gone from being a scene of urban speculation to a space in constant evolution.

The images capture extensive developable land and unfinished structures, reflecting both failures and opportunities on the outskirts of Madrid. Lasheras, influenced by his upbringing in Canada and a deep dialogue with his father about urban development, offers an objective vision of this mutation process, inviting us to reflect on the changes and challenges faced by this town in transition.

We are, ultimately,
faced with a reminder that, in the midst of speculation and ambition, emerge
stories and landscapes in transformation that require being observed.
