The majestic mountain landscape of the town of Ubuyama-mura, in southern Japan, serves as the setting for this exquisite exploration of an inexhaustible cultural legacy. With the arrival of summer, Masae travels from house to house collecting traditional songs, searching for poems that date back more than a thousand years. A magnetic lyrical force moves Natsu no uta, shot in splendid 16 mm, and in which we find the traces of Naomi Kawase's documentaries.
Jorge Suárez Quiñones Rivas had already provided valuable investigations into the Japanese essence, such as the brilliant medium-length film Amijima (2016). In his new film he once again achieves the most difficult goal: to capture the sublime moment, the one that like every great poem, exists alone and ephemeral before the curious and sensitive gaze of those who search in the mundane to finally transcend it.

An ode to the old Galician laundries, spaces where women used to gather to share confidences and do the laundry, but also as a tribute to that invisible and often unrewarded effort of the female population. A multidisciplinary reflection on material and intangible heritage in an angelic and melancholic space, that of the forests and the seas, ecosystems that are completed with these working women, with the music of that transient choir.
the remains of passing by Luis (Soto) Muñoz and Alfredo Picazo
Projection: Thursday 30 May - 20:30 pm - CINETECA - Sala Azcona Don't miss it!
Like Marcel Proust's cupcake, the Holy Week celebrations in Córdoba stir the memory of Antonio who remembers his childhood between Catholic iconology, filmed in black and white, and the paintings of Paco, an artist from the region, with his very vivid colors. . Closer to the work of writers like Julián Ayesta for whom childhood is a space of invention, Picazo and Muñoz's film evokes that stage of transition in which we learn to discover the fragility of the world.
To TAI It is a pride to see how the talent of our teachers and alumni is awarded and recognized in the industry, contributing to the progress, transformation and development of the arts in society.
