An exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in the exciting world of acting

Acquire the skills that allow you to function on stage.

Delve into the fundamental aspects of acting by addressing important topics such as stage movement, voice, diction, cast work, and emotional connection through acting techniques. 

You will work from body awareness and learn techniques for the expressive use of the body. Likewise, you will perform rhythm and spatial layout exercises to familiarize yourself with the use of the stage space.

You will establish contact with the professional world through talks with prominent theater figures and visits to rehearsal processes.

Acquire the skills that allow you to function on stage.

You will establish contact with the professional world through talks with prominent theater figures and visits to rehearsal processes.

Program

  • Voice and diction: practical exercises to learn and develop vocal skills. Diction and prosody for effective communication on stage.
  • Cast work: dynamics to improve perception and collaboration with the group, as well as to work collectively with atmospheres and emotions.
  • Emotional connection: exploration of different emotions and access to them in a healthy and efficient way.
  • Improvisation: approach to text and emotions from the game. 
  • Text work: texts and scenes from different periods and styles.
  • Creation workshop: preparation of the open exhibition with some of the texts and selected scenes.
  • Final sample: sample of the work before an audience.
  • Talks with professionals: interaction with prominent personalities from the world of theater.
  • Visits to professional rehearsal processes: direct experience in rehearsing theatrical productions.

Teacher

Maria Herrero

Graduated from RESAD, she continues her training at the Mar Navarro and Andrés Hernández School of Creation. She develops part of her research with creative stays at the Odin Teatret (Holstebro, Denmark) and various artistic scholarships in Finland, Hungary and Germany. She expands her educational spectrum with studies in music, piano, composition, singing, choral direction and contemporary dance.

He has worked for the National Dramatic Center (Presas, Bodies leave bodies, The big wedding), as well as for the Spanish Theater, the Almagro Festival or the Mérida Classical Theater Festival, among other projects and companies.

As a composer, vocal adviser or musical interpreter (piano and voice), her works stand out in George Dandin y The colloquium of the bitches (dir. Hernán Gené), The Tempest (dir. César Barló; Godoff Award) or concert for accumulation (dir. David Puig), a show that receives the International Prize for New Theater Researchers.

As a pedagogue, she has given different seminars and workshops in places such as the Lienzo Norte Auditorium in Ávila or the Nebrija University in Madrid. She teaches classes at the Work in Progress School and the University School of Arts TAI.

As director, she founded the company Proyecto Barroco with which she creates and directs works such as a baroque musical (Almagro Festival, Teatro Circo de Murcia, Teatro Infanta Isabel, among others) or the toffana, premiered at the Almagro Classical Theater Festival with a season at the Teatro de la Abadía and which has 5 Azahar awards, including best direction, best show and best actress.

Access and registration

Aimed at students aged 18 and over with basic audiovisual knowledge.
